The Polynesian’s, didn’t have Doctors or medicine to rely upon for healing.
Their main focus was in their mind, heart and spirit.
True healing had to begin from within.
The Healing hook was designed as a reminder, to pass on for proper healing.
The two koru’s, or swirls, combined to form a heart, is the new beginning of nourishment to the heart and soul.
The arrow points to the mind and body to heal, keep healthy, have exactness in character and attitude.
When all is accomplished it is much easier to heal.
Today, the Polynesian’s continue to exercise this traditional way of healing.
