HeiMata’u was a Goddess that the Polynesians believed and worshiped to bring blessings of abundance in life, prosperity and fertility. The Polynesians survived by making great use in their daily lives of the abundance of the ocean and cultivating the land. Heimata’u was called upon to bring fertility to families, the land and sea. Various designs was carved and worn as a reminder of the blessings of Heimata’u.
